Wood ‘N’ Pegs is a very small York-based workshop, established in 2022, with the aim of creating high quality bespoke and handcrafted homeware at fair prices.
Everything is designed, sourced, made, packaged and sent by Craig so if there are any problems…. there’s generally only one person to blame. You may see the use of “we” and “our” around the site, however, that’s just so I can pretend there’s someone else to hold accountable if anything does go wrong.
As we spend most of the day making and packaging products, the easiest way to contact Wood ‘n’ Pegs is via email at info@woodnpegs.co.uk. We aim to respond to all enquiries within 24 hours. You can also find ways to contact us through Facebook or Instagram here on our contact page.
In the unlikely event you’re not happy with your order, the best way to speak to us reach us is by dropping us an email at info@woodnpegs.co.uk.

2/5 – Colour does not match image very well. The colour looks much lighter than portrayed in the image.
3/5 – Great quality product. I was a little disappointed it wasn’t wider. Dimensions need to be clearer as I thought it was 60x70cm.

I should have asked the seller about this beforehand though. They are really lovely and sturdy with quality fixings too. Update: despite me clearly saying this was my responsibility, today I received a really lovely note from the seller with some sandpaper and oil so I can smooth them – what a thoughtful and kind thing to do, thank you.
Delivery Information
At this time, we only ship to England, Scotland and Wales. As a small company of one, the red tape, additional cost and time involved in shipping elsewhere has unfortunately become unmanageable.
As all our items are handmade and made to order, we do require a period of time in order to produce your item. For the majority of items our lead time is usually 1-3 weeks with an average of 3-10 days processing time. However, some of our bigger pieces have longer lead times and we do have busy periods. For accurate information regarding lead times, please see the top of the page or contact us to make sure your item will be with you when you need it.
We generally only use Royal Mail for small items, Parcelforce for larger items and for anything over 1.4m in length, DPD. If you would like us to use a specific courier please get in touch before ordering.
All orders are sent via tracked 48hr services.
If you missed your delivery, please use your tracking number to reschedule directly with the courier.
Please note that couriers will attempt delivery up to three times. After the third missed attempt, your item will be returned to our warehouse. If this happens, you will be responsible for the return delivery costs, as these are not covered by our free delivery offer.

Product Information
All of our products are made from the highest quality hardwoods, there’s no stained pine involved here!
All of our wood is sourced in the UK from FSC-certified, sustainably managed forests either in the UK or abroad. The majority of our Oak comes from the UK and France and our Black Walnut from the USA.
We believe your furniture should be a personal reflection of your space. That’s why we offer a large amount of customisation options for many of our pieces.
If however you can’t find the right option for you, and would like to adapt an item from our existing range, please contact us to discuss your customisation needs. We’re happy to help you create the perfect piece for your home.
No, everything comes ready assembled, though unfortunately, we can’t come around and hang things on walls for you!
All of our products are finished in our own hard wax oil which is a blend of linseed oil, carnauba and other waxes which provides a non-toxic, food safe satin finish. If you’d like your order left unfinished to use your own stain or finish just let us know.
As we only use quality hardwoods and not pine stained to look like Oak or Walnut we don’t use any stains as it detracts from the natural beauty of the wood. If you would like to stain your order, just let us know and we will happily leave it unfinished for you.
Our pieces are designed to be passed down rather than thrown away and replaced so we’re happy to guarantee our products for life, this guarantee covers all structural elements of our products.
However, this guarantee excludes issues arising as a result of normal wear and tear, improper care or accidental damage. Stains, water marks, scratches etc are not covered by this guarantee, nor are small cracks in the wood that don’t impact the structural integrity.
